My AO Smith GPSH 50 100

I have two of these heaters in my house. They were installed when I built the house in 2005. The noise from the blower motors is load but tolerable (the heaters are in my basement which helps the noise problem be tolerable.
My situation is one of the heaters has started making a high pitch noise which I can heard through out my 5000 Sq. Ft. house! When I put my hand over the air intake the high pitch noise stops. When I put a metal rod to my ear and to the motor the sound I hear from the high pitched heater motor is a low rumble (like the bearing is bad). So..... what does all this mean. Help!!!!!
