Tankless water heater: problems with maintaining temperature

by TomJ
(Wakefield, MA)

I have a Bosch outdoor propane fired hot water heater. I recently had it serviced and the service technician found one of the 3 sensors was unattached. The O&M manual does not show where it was attached, so we left it unattached. Also, when taking showers, the water starts out hot, then gets cold without any apparent reduction in flow, then gets hot again. Is this due to the sensor not being attached, or perhaps that the water filter needs to be cleaned?

Bosch 1600hNG - customer service
by: Anonymous

I have a Bosch 1600hNG unit. And had a part break.
So I called customer service to order a new part, they said to call a plumber to do job.

So hired a contractor to do the job. A week later no part was order. Called back to find out why they don't have an answer for that. so they said that they'll order another one and send it again. called again the next morning and still no tracking # as of yet. Like I said it's a week later still no hot water.
