Model review

Webasto marine water heaters work on either 12 or 24 volts and can provide heating power from 2 kW of the part load to 35 kW of the full load.

Webasto also produces the water stations that contain the water heating unit integrated in a complete system to produce hot water continuously.

Thermo Top water heaters

There are three models of the Thermo Top water heaters series, providing the power from 4.2 kW to 5.2 kW, which makes it the smallest group of all Webasto marine water heaters. These are all made compact and small (maximum size is 9.3" x 4.2" x 7.6") for easy and space saving installation.

The Thermo Top units are built strong but lightweight; the aluminum casing is resistant to harsh environment and with the approximately 7 pounds in weight, it makes it very light at the same time.

Thermo Top provides an even distribution of heat, low fuel consumption and comfortably low noise level. With the use of the Thermo Top E Comfort Classic heater the system can be combined into the one integrated climate control system with the special temperature settings. This is called the BlueComfort Classic System.

Webasto water stations

Webasto marine water stations are designed in four versions and five capacities, from 11.6 kW to 35 kW, that operate on 12 v and 24 v battery power. These units are known as "plug and heat central heating units" that come as one system, with the integrated pump, fuel filter and electronics. The water stations have two functions; central heating and heating sanitary water and can be used everyday, summer or winter, and due to the robust construction, in harsh weather on the ocean.

Another way of heating potable water is on demand, by using the Webasto calorifer. The 230 V immersion heater is powered at the shore, from the grid.

Selecting tips

In order to select the right size of the Webasto marine water heater you should take into account several factors, which includes the length of the boat, season when it will be used, type of the boat and the type of water where it will be used (sea, lakes...).
