Electronic Ignition fails to ignite on Hydrojet Bradford White

My Hydrojet gas water heater burner shut-off due to ????.
I tried to restart the burner with the electronic ignition button without any results. I can't even get the ignitor to spark. All wires appear to be intact and connected.

I ended up lighting the burner the "old fashion" way....with a cigarette lighter. I purchased the water heater in December of 2010. I have to find my paperwork and see if this may be a warranty issue. In the meantime any "input" would be appreciated.
