Electric State Water Heater

I purchased a new top of the line electric State Water Heater, XE Series, Commercial Grade. Immediately, I have 3 problems.
First, the hot water if foamy. Second, the water smells horrible, think urine. Finally, the tank makes a banging, hammering sound.
I have contacted State numerous times and they offer no help or support. Their only suggestion was to buy another Anode Rod. Really, it's like less than 24 hours old; it's your top of the line model and now you want me to buy a part that's $62 plus $10 shipping. Beware! Don't buy a State whatever you do. I'll take a Bradford White or any other brand. At least my old water heater didn't produce smelly water.
