Bosch tankless water heater - Electric models

Powerstar is the popular point-of-use electric tankless water heater model from Bosch. There are four Powerstar under-sink models that can be used in your kitchen and bathroom. They are: AE3.4 (3.4kW), AE7.2 (7.2kW), AE9.5 (9.5) and AE12 (12kW).

Two main differences between them are hot water flow rates and the temperature. All these Powerstar models are 99% efficient and Bosch provides 5-year warranty on heat exchanger and 1-year on replacement parts.

If planning to use electricity for instant heating, and you need it for the whole house, then Bosch Powerstar tankless water heaters AE115 and AE125 are ideal, and especially if yours old 40 gallon tank type water heater has to be replaced.

Note: Powerstar supplies hot water for the whole house, but they cannot run two major water applications at the same time, like a washing machine, shower or bathtub. Model AE115 is not recommended in climates where average ground temperature of water is less than 60 F.

Powerstar AE115 has the Energy factor 0.90 with 17.25 kW, and AE125 0.94 with 26.85 kW.

The main features of these two Bosch tankless water heater models are 10-year warranty on heat exchanger, thermal cut-out for safety, less than 25 pounds in weight, electronic flow switch and flow sensor for constant output temperature.
